Octave

Octave is dedicated to creating a summer music mentoring program that provides free music classes for elementary and middle school students in Howard County who are passionate about music but may lack access to formal instruction. The program will be led by volunteer high school mentors who will share their musical expertise and serve as role models. Running from mid-June to August for 6–8 weeks, the program will offer weekly sessions either virtually or at up to two convenient high school locations. This initiative aims to foster musical growth among underprivileged students, build a sense of community, and empower high school mentors to develop leadership skills while giving back through their passion for music.
